The trains provide endless frustration for commuters to be sure. I would love to see a comparison of what the MTA promises will happen, and what does. Are the improvements ones that commuters just wouldn't notice, like work on the tracks? Or are they undelivered promises?

I'm glad you brought this up, I've definitely seen this before. It just seems like all the female tweens these days are trying to be trendy, and hanging out at Starbucks fits in with that mentality. I'd be really interested in finding out more!

So I guess congestion pricing is over for now. Just read in the NYT that it is dead. So I guess we will see just how fast those posters come down.

There could be a really interesting piece here about Katz's views on daycare, healthcare, and other issues relating to single parents raising children. She could make for an interesting profile, I don't know anyone who has ever had in vitro fertilization.

I can hardly believe that this is the same mayor who wanted to build a stadium for the Jets on the west side. That, to me, is the biggest waste of public tax dollars imaginable and has failed in countless other cities before it was thankfully shot down in New York. What an about face to then push for one of the most forward looking urban policies in the nation. I guess I just wonder what the mayor's view for the city is, what, to Mayor Bloomberg, is good urban planning/policy?

This story is an absolute goldmine. There are so many different pieces you could do on the MTA and public transit. The L train is probably one of the better ones because the improvements in technology should let the MTA run more trains on existing track at closer intervals. Imagine if the whole transit system had 20% more trains? It would be so much less crowded.

I saw that billboard in my neighborhood, good reporting. Congestion Pricing is a hot topic now so it's good to see you incorporate it into your neighborhood.

It's nice how you were able to take a post and turn it into a conflict story. Gentrification is always a good, running story.
